Accident happen in Pila yesterday

Accident in Pila, Laguna

I saw an accident yesterday, August 10, 2012. Vehicles involve were a Isuzu Dmax and  a service mini-pick up car of the coca cola company. The accident happened at 9:30 in the morning on the said date at Brgy. San Antonio, Pila, Laguna. in the picture shown you will see how badly the damaged was. I think both drivers were in the hospital still as of now. I haven't saw the clash I maybe a few minutes late, but it's a fresh accident and the driver of the coca cola service car is still in the driver's seat and cannot move because his legs and foot were stuck because of the clash of the two cars. I saw that the driver is not doing well but he makes himself feels alright even though he is not, I did not saw the Isuzu Dmax driver. I just took a picture and ask some of the by standers there what happened but they did not know they just heard a "Bang" and they saw the two cars already smashed each other. I left the accident area because I did not see a police, I thought nobody reported the incident so I rush to the police station and ask if the accident was already reported, they said yes sir it was already reported here, the ambulance already left and the police car was being radioed. Then I say thanks and left.

I saw this accident while going to my work riding my small bike (Arthas). I'm glad that it was not me and my bike, but feels sorry for the two drivers, I didn't saw what exactly happened but it seems that they loose some care that's why that accident happens.

Avoid accidents? 

In my opinion we cannot avoid accidents, but we can prevent it to happen like being a defensive driver, a careful one, responsible and a good follower and of course do not forget to pray before starting the engine.

How to be a  defensive driver?

• Do not drive when you are in the influence of alcohol.

• Do not drive when you are too tired.

• Do not drive when you are sleepy or have not sleep at least 4 to 5 hours. 

• Always check your vehicle/s before use (like oil leaks, tire pressure, breaks, signal lights, headlights, breaklights etc.)

• Be always sure that your car/motorcycle is on it's 100% condition.

• Always follow traffic rules and regulations.

Since I got my underbone bike, I met a couple of  accidents, and it's a lesson to me to add some additional care while driving, first was a dog jump over in the front of me while driving, second was when a construction worker riding in a bicycle hit my motorcycle pipe with his bike and we crash, third I was hit by an owner type jeep while he attempt to overtaken me, fourth a tire slip in a sharp curve, next I hit a tricycle while he is taking a U-turn, next a slip again because of the break lock,  a slip again, a no care pedestrians just cross the street without looking and some that I cannot remember..  but I'm glad it's all a minor crash and I'm still alive and all my injuries were not for permanent. But remember all people that purchase a car or a motorcycle may crash, some will get back on, some cannot and some don't.
